Conceptual and methodological aspects of forecasting and strategic planning of the land resource rational using

Abstract

Rational using of land resource potential is one of the most important tasks for Georgia which is characterized by land scarcity, variety of natural-productive conditions, alternative directions of specialization and regional specific features. Land resources are inefficiently used in the country. Privatization was carried out with serious violations, land areas have been fragmented, degradation process deepened, areas under crops drastically reduced. Food security is under high risk. Overcoming the systemic crisis requires integrated use of modern methods of strategic management.

First of all, it is necessary to start solving problems of forecasting and strategic planning of production and labor organization based on the land resources analysis. Rational use of land and other natural resources must be an initial point for the state economic (agricultural) policy.
