We justify the modeling methodology the diversification of foreign economic cooperation between Ukraine, based on the combined use of systems theory, economic-mathematical modeling, and institutional theory. Applying the methodology of economic and mathematical modeling in modeling the diversification of foreign economic cooperation between Ukraine will highlight the most important features of the process under study and describe them in a formalized manner. It is proved that the cognitive capabilities of the model in this case is because the model reflects such essential factors of the process of the original, as the volume of foreign trade, transnational investment, foreign trade balance. Determination of necessity and sufficiency of the similarity of the original model is defined and developed an optimal ratio between labor costs for the development and parameterization of models and minimally sufficient accuracy. It is proved that the correlation and regression analysis reveals the relationship between the studied factors and build mathematical relationships. With the help of the simulation model can be created that does not have the disadvantages of classical regression models, assumed to be unchanged trends. Development of the test process in the simulation model is defined by the values of the regulators, not just the preexisting trends.
