TOWARDS THE SCIENTIFIC DEFINITION OF ECONOMIC THEORY: “ECONOMICS”, POLITICAL ECONOMY OR GENERAL ECONOMIC THEORY?

Abstract

Any science de we lops, with attending specification of its paradigm and designation. In Georgian specialist Literature – along with traditional de sig nation – the terms “economics” and “theoretical economics”: are used to designate economic theory – one of the oldest sciences. Economics is a universal integrated science that develops according to the principle of continuity. Therefore preference should be given to the de sig nation: “general economic theory”.
