Аннотация

In the natural zone of chestnut forests, both in western (from 400-500 m above sea level to 900-1000 m) and eastern Georgia (from 500-600 m to 1000-1100 m), forest ochre soils are developed under chestnut groves. It is noteworthy that a special role in the study of the genesis, geography and classification of forest ochre soils was played by Acad. T. Urushadze, who determined in detail the structure of the profile of these soils, the processes of soil formation, the specifics of the features of the relationship and interaction between forest vegetation and these soils, etc.
