Jean Monnet Module CSREU in Sokhumi State University
Within the framework of the Jean Monnet Module Project an International Scientific Conference was held in Sokhumi State University

On May 16 and 21, 2024, within the framework of the Jean Monnet Module project "Corporate Social Responsibility in the European Union: Experience for Georgia" supported by the EU ERASMUS+ program, an International Scientific Conference "European Union’s Policy on Corporate Social Responsibility" was held at Sokhumi State University (SSU). Conference was dedicated to the 92th Anniversary of the foundation of the Higher Education Institution in Sokhumi.
The event was planned for May 16-17, however, due the to the declaration of May 17 as a holiday by the Government of Georgia, it was held on May 16 and 21.
The event was opened by the Project Manager, Professor Larisa Takalandze. Conference participants were welcomed by: Zurab Khonelidze, Professor, Rector of Sokhumi State University, Solomon Pavliashvili, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Rodrigo Ballester Esquivias, Head of the European Studies Center of the Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC) of the Hungarian Private Educational Institute and Research Center, Mariam Sulashvili, Director of the National ERASMUS+ Office in Georgia, Rusudan Kutateladze, Professor, Dean of Faculty of Business Technologies (Georgian Technical University), Professors Anzor Abralava and Evgeni Baratashvili.
According to the Jean Monnet Module project, the Conference was intended for researchers, academic staff, doctoral students of SSU and other Higher Education Institutions of Georgia and stakeholders; however, due to its importance, foreign academic staff and scientists were involved in it.
It should be noted, that the Conference was attended not only by scientists researchers and postgraduate/doctoral students, but also by experts, representatives of entrepreneurship, young businessmen, managers, and civil society.

(Due to the urgency of the issue, Mr. Volodymyr Dubovyk was invited as an Honorable Guest Speaker);
Archil Karaulashvili, Director General for European Integration at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia - Economic Aspects of European Integration;
Lela Khoperia, CSR Expert, CSRDG - CSR and Sustainability EU and Georgia: Role of Public Policy and New Opportunities in the context of Eurointegration;
Medea Inashvili, Climate Change Expert, UNFCCC Lead Reviewer - Georgia’s Integration in European Union: Climate Change Dimension;
Mariam Japaridze, CSR Manager, Tegeta Holding - Tegeta Holding Corporate Social Responsibility;
Zurab Devdariani, CSR Manager, RMG Group’s - Rich Metals Group’s (RMG) Companies Corporate Social Responsibility;
Namig Isazade, PhD in Business Administration, Shareholder and Founder, International Research, Education and Training Center (Tallinn, Estonia) - Scientific Journals and Article Indexing in Databases.

The Conference took place in a hybrid mode; Abstracts from conference papers will be published in electronic form after the scientific conference and will be placed on the website of Sokhumi State University: https://www.sou.edu.ge/content/7/78/218/120/0
