Abstract

Georgian insurance companies, due to the scarcity of capital and resources, actively resort to reinsurance operations, which allows them to cover maximum losses with minimal capital. For developing countries, reinsurance is the best way to speed up the integration process.

The purpose of the article is to present the importance and necessity of reinsurance for developing countries and the existing insurance companies in them, as well as what is the essence, role and functions of reinsurance in the market economy.

The object of the article is the Georgian non-life market.
